We really enjoyed staying at Jay's place. It is a very comfortable apartment at a great location! Definitely would recommend!
Great location and clean. But this is a basement apartment and like many basement apartments it can be musty and very humid.
Great area and close to a subway station and many restaurants!!

This location is an excellent option for a family/group trying to visit Chicago downtown while still staying somewhere you can experience the hometown feel of the West Park area.
The ease of traveling directly from O'Hare, onto the cta blue line, and having a station only a <10 minute casual stroll from the home was a big seller for us and we didn't regret it one bit! The area and station felt very safe to walk around and with even some activity towards the late night hours outside.
The hosts themselves are very responsive, provided plenty of amenities, and very helpful with answering any questions. Special mention on the provided water pitchers, hair dryer with diffuser attachment, and cozy living room. We'll definitely consider this location again if we ever come back to visit!
We stayed here as a family of 4 for two nights on our way back to the UK. The apartment was perfect for our needs. It was well located; near convenient bus/subway routes; near shops for everyday needs; and easy to find by driving. It is a really nice space - spacious and clean. It was really well-equipped with basics like kitchen towels, washing up liquid, salt, coffee etc so we didn’t need to spend time sourcing stuff like that. The neighbourhood felt safe. We used SpotHero to find a parking space on a nearby alley which worked well. The host recommended it. If (when!) we come back to Chicago again I won’t hesitate to stay here again!
We decided to stay with Jay while we were in town for a few days because of the location and listing amenities. It’s close to the blue line CTA and walkable to great shops and restaurants, so it was great. Some areas could have been a bit cleaner, but it is a Chicago basement (“Garden” level) apartment.
Jay was super responsive and proactive with instructions during our stay. Thanks for having us!
